Us v.s. Them

Sir Robert Peel (in the Peelian Principles) establishes that there should be no differentiation of Officers and Citizens – Only that Officers are paid to do full time what is “Incumbent” of all Citizens.

Therefore, In a FREE STATE, the only difference between Paid Officers and the Citizens thereof is “JURISDICTION”. Meaning that the Citizen is the Officer in Charge of their own personal property (Subject only to the laws of the State and U.S. Constitution).

I believe that the key to making America Great (and the State of Texas a leader as such) is to close the gap between Officer and Citizen and end the “Us v.s. Them” belief that has become all to prevalent between law enforcement and citizens.

Just as an Officer of Austin Texas is still a Sworn Officer while on vacation in any other State – the Officer is bound to 1. bear witness, 2. contact the officials of that jurisdiction (Call for Backup), 3. maintain the security of a free state. 4. act professionally………. in this manner, Private Citizens who are not on their own personal property when a crime is being committed should also bear witness, notify officials of that jurisdiction (call for backup), maintain the security of the free state, and act professionally.

With this philosophy, we could bring a greater understanding of what a Free State is, help Law Enforcement and Citizens work closer together for a positive outcome, and stop the “Us v.s. Them” gap that is hurting our Country. —- Make Citizens more Responsible for their own actions through education.
